The issue appears to be the limited Windows 10 and Intel support for the Mobile Intel 4 Graphic Chip (GMA 4500) used in this HP G62 laptop. Yet on Windows 7 dxdiag indicates newer Direct x 11 is running normally. When checking Windows 10 with dxdiag from the command line it indicates Direct x 10 is running normally and no updates are currently available. During start up a Direct x error message indicating it needs to be updated, is displayed and the application aborts. Sweet Home 3D 5.0 works very well on my HP G62 with Windows 7 but fails to work with Windows 10. I have the similar unsolved Direct x driver issues in windows 10. I use windows 10 and my graphic card is updatedĭid you check the FAQ on this error? Even if there is no instruction on Win10, there might be something there to help you. please update the directX/openGL drivers of your computer graphic card." Previously, it worked, and installed a new version and iэму got errors with Directx and OpenGL. Started when I changed from Windows 8 to Windows 10. I still have not found any solution but to use the online version, which works for me but is not very satisfactory !Įverything started when I updated from version 3.0 I'm not sure if the same Ubuntu's problem affect Fedora, too, but in the last release the 3D standard is not enough and MAD/ATI is not going to provide a proprietary driver for linux. May be the solution should be that process which generates the error, would generate a precise error code to know exactly on which function call (call for check) the start process fails ? So, the issue seems to be around GPU support obviously. This PC was also upgraded from F23 to F24 and SW3D runs perfectly. I also have a 2013 XPS13 which runs an Intel Ivy Bridge. Same problem here on a XPS13 (Skylake processor), so not exotic GPU, pure Intel, on Fedora 23 and 24, 64 bit. May be I could check the feature for "program : SWEETHOME3D" into NVIDIA configuration ? It is the 5.3 Beta6 as previously proposed. Re: Fatal error at starting : need to updated drivers opengl directXĮmmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D developer I would know where are the limitations or incompatibility. May some computers (many) cannot have the needed functions even with directx 11 ? I think that the solution is to have the details af the test which lead to the error : the drivers functions needed (which can be tested with the driver check for directX). On a third ASUS 550C I have been successful. Then I tried a second computer (used for test, much more slower and low memory to check web applications efficiency), it is a HP Pavillon DV7 4163sf (video AMD Radeon 5000 series) - 4Go win 10), same error with best updated driver. This while the last drivers proposed by Asus are :īut nothing changed : where can be got the updates of the drivers ?įor ASUS G73SW (16Go memory) with processor Core I7 2630qm and a graphic card NVidia GTX460M windows 7 pro regularly updated Then I launched an update from nvidia with :ģ68.39-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql.exe (2016) Please update drivers DirectX/OpenGL of your video card" "Sweet home 3D must leave because of a fatal error in system 3D.
