Google doesn't actually have a file structure. at least, with what you've said, it's not actually relevant. That said, if you want to actually look through stuff, you don't really need the directory structure. But you would need to have Vault for the users. Can be set based on file creation date or last edit date. If you want to delete any files over say 5 years old, you can actually do that with retention policies and it will just happen automatically in an on-going manner.
